Wood fired mustard yellow and tenmoku stoneware chawan tea bowl cup
Wood fired tenmoku stoneware
3.75" x 3.5" x 3"
This wood fired stoneware chawan tea bowl cup reminds me of a beggar's purse, with its gold mustard matte finish with a band and patterns of mottled tenmoku glaze on top. It is a very bold item with many variations, textures and patterns, with crackles and textured patterns inside, outside and on the lip. Made in the Japanese chawan style to fit comfortably in the hand and feel good on the lip and look good to the eye to involve all 5 senses in the eating and drinking experience.
