Part of a series of artworks I made taking found objects and encasing them between 2 pieces of glass that I slumped in a tray-shaped form.
This was one of my favorite earrings. Alas I lost the other one. So I memorialized it by sandwiching it between 2 pieces of window glass on top of a piece of aluminum leaf.
Back is painted with opaque glass paint.
You can put it in a stand, hang it on a wall or lay it flat. You can even use it as a vessel.
Since there are slight fractures in the glass near the earring I can't recommend it for food use.
