Glass is just glaze in its purest form. It's finicky, expensive, needs alot of firings and can be very frustrating to cut, grind and fire. But unlike working in clay and glazes which change texture, color and size between the making and the final result, what you see when you start out is usually what you get at the end. I find this a relief, and I work in glass as sort of a palate cleanser after struggling through a long series in clay.
